Coverage

What we check, and what we deliberately do not

Every fee, income threshold, document list and deadline your visa, tax-number, banking and residence work depends on — 31 topics, read from 16 official Portuguese publishers. What we do not cover is on this page as well, said plainly.

What we watch

Under each stage are the topics we read for changes — and, behind them, the laws the stage rests on.

Products

The products it covers

Grouped the way an agency sells them, not the way the law files them. A change carries the product lines it touches, so you can see at once whether it reaches a package you sell.

  • Portuguese nationality by naturalisation
  • Consular residence visa — people living on their own incomesold in the market as the D7
  • Post-arrival administrative enrolment
  • Residence permit after arrival — grant, renewal, permanence, family
  • Portuguese bank account opened remotely
  • Consular temporary-stay visa — remote workerssold in the market as the D8, temporary-stay variant
  • Consular residence visa — remote workerssold in the market as the D8, residence variant
  • Portuguese tax number (NIF) — standalone product

Deliberately not covered

Said plainly

If a client's question falls here, we say so rather than improvise an answer.

  • Art. 122.º regularisation detail (one status record only)
  • Protection and asylum
  • Students and researchers
  • Golden Visa, EU Blue Card, intra-company transfers
  • Travel-document routes other than naturalisation
  • Anything requiring a view of a specific person's file
  • The CPLP regime — Brazil and the other Portuguese-speaking countries

The CPLP regime sat here as an open question rather than a guess: it turns on where a practice's applicants come from, not on Portuguese law. It is now decided, and the decision is in the list above.

Rhythm

When we look

  • Every source is read twice a day, at 07:00 and 15:00, Lisbon time.
  • The digest goes out every Monday at 08:30, Lisbon time, in English and Portuguese.
  • Anything that cannot wait for the digest is sent the day it is found.

Subscribers see every source with its last-read date and status, and what covered it when it could not be reached. Access is by invitation.
